Kristen Stewart - In the Land of Women
That same year, Kristen Stewart starred in Sean Penn's critically acclaimed adaptation film Into the Wild. For Stewart' portrayal of Tracy – a teenage singer who has a crush on young adventurer Christopher McCandless – Kristen received generally positive reviews. Salon.com considered Stewart work a "sturdy, sensitive performance", and the Chicago Tribune noted that Stewart did "vividly well with a sketch of a role." Meanwhile, Variety magazine's critic Dennis Harvey commented skeptically, "It's unclear whether Stewart means to be playing hippie-chick Tracy as vapid, or whether it just comes off that way."
After Into the Wild movie, Kristen Stewart had a cameo appearance in Jumper and also appeared in What Just Happened, which was released in October 2008. Stewart also co-stars in The Cake Eaters and The Yellow Handkerchief, both independent films that have only been screened at film festivals.

Kristen Stewart - Career - Cold Creek Manor
Kristen' first starring role followed, in the children's action-comedy Catch That Kid, opposite Max Thieriot and Corbin Bleu. She also played the role of Lila in the thriller Undertow. To date, Kristen's most critically acclaimed role may be in the television film Speak (2004), based on the novel by Laurie Halse Anderson.
Kristen Stewart, 13 at the time of filming, played high school freshman Melinda Sordino, who stops almost all verbal contact after being raped and who deals with enormous amounts of emotional turmoil. She received great praise for playing the character, who had only a few speaking lines, but kept up a dark-witted commentary inside her head throughout the film.

Talking about Twilight... Kristen Stewart Calls Robert Pattinson a 'Perfect' Vampire.
It's a good thing that Robert Pattinson scored the part of Edward in Twilight. His costar Kristen Stewart says she cannot imagine another actor in the role.
"Not to put down any of the other actors who came in, because they were really good, but everyone came in playing Edward as this perfect, happy-go-lucky guy," Kristen Stewart, 18, tells Teen magazine's winter issue.
"But I got hardcore pain from Rob. It was purely just connection."
Robert Pattinson, meanwhile, researched his role seriously: He studied Stephenie Meyer's book.
Robert Pattinson says:"I kind of tried to read the book from Edward's perspective," "He's this guy seen through the eyes of someone who is completely, obsessively in love with him. So I tried to make a reality about it and take it to how he sees himself."

Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed To Reunite, Play Men In Prison Film 'K-11’
“I’m doing a movie called ‘K-11’ in January with Kristen Stewart,” Reed told us on the red carpet of the “Twilight” premiere Monday night. “It’s about a little-known section of the men’s county jail. I’m playing a man, and Kristen’s playing a boy.”
Nikki Reed Surprises Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart looks genuinely surprised as BFF costar Nikki Reed sneaks up to her from behind at the San Diego Comic Con on Thursday afternoon.
The duo were joined by cast mates Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, Christian Serratos, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Rachelle Lefevre at the event.
The whole cast surprised many of their fans by sticking around for The Twilight Experience, a one-night-only special theatrical re-release of the film with an introduction and Q&A session with the stars, Thursday night at the Gaslamp Pacifc Theaters.
BTW... The term “K-11” refers to a dormitory section of the Los Angeles jail used to hold gay inmates, as explained in this 2004 L.A. Times story. According to a recent interview with Stewart, the film is a mixture of drama and comedy.
Although little else is known about the film, one of their co-stars will be Kevin Smith cult icon Jason Mewes, who recently confirmed his involvement with “K-11”in a radio interview and said that he’d dyed his hair black for the role. And although Reed didn’t have time to elaborate on how she and Stewart would be transforming themselves into testosterone-fueled prison inmates, the 20-year-old “Thirteen” star said she had confidence in the film’s director – who also happens to have an intimate connection with the lading lady of “Twilight.”
“Jules Stewart is directing; that’s her mother,” Reed explained of Kristen’s Australian-born mom, the veteran script supervisor behind such films as “Are We There Yet?” and “The Straight Story”. “I have full faith in Jules. I suppose I would be [nervous about the handling of our transformations] if it were coming from left field, but I’ve known about the script for a very long time.”
